Thinking about Vacation
I am a little reluctant to go to Michigan based on
what someone told me about Detroit. Although
if I drive and do not fly, I think I can avoid that
city.
Apparently in some parts of the city, it is now an
urban area with drugs and crime.
As a younger man, this would not have concerned
me particularly, but these days I am feeling
somewhat frail and know that I have the look of
a person who could be mugged.
I have lots a good bit of weight from my medical
condition, so much so that the doctor is concerned
and encouraging me to eat more.
Perhaps by the time vacation comes I will be my
old robust self, in which case this may not be an
issue, but nonetheless I am thinking about it today.
